Paul Choo As Vice President and Chief Representative of Investor Growth Capital Asia Limited (a wholly owned subsidiary of Investor AB), Paul Choo is responsible for all the company's investment activities in China. Investor AB is the largest industrial holding company in Northern Europe and is the leading shareholder in a number of multinational companies, including Ericsson, ABB, Atlas Copco, Astra Zeneca, Electrolux, SEB, Saab etc. Paul currently serves on the boards of China Cache, LIBA.com, CDP, China Data Group, Byecity, 800 Teleservices and Yuan Chuan. Prior to joining Investor Growth Capital in August 2005, he was Vice President (Investments) of EDBV Management Pte Ltd, the direct investment arm of Singapore Economic Development Board since 1999. A physics major from the National University of Singapore, Paul graduated with a Bachelor of Science (1st Class Honours) and was a recipient of the Institute of Physics Medal, Singapore National Academy of Science Award and the Cambridge Scholarship. He holds an Executive MBA (with Distinction) from INSEAD as well as a CFA charter. |

Doug Farber Doug Farber is tasked with building up the Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Southeast Asia markets for Google's Enterprise solutions. He was previously Vice-President of Operations for salesforce.com Asia Pacific and was responsible for its rapid expansion across the Asia Pacific. Prior to this, he was Vice President, Marketing Asia Pacific for salesforce.com, where his responsibilities included overseeing the expansion of salesforce.com into new markets. He has also worked in salesforce.com's headquarters in San Francisco, where he was responsible for the company's international expansion and played an instrumental role in launching the company in Europe and Japan. Prior to joining salesforce.com, Mr Farber spent seven years with Oracle and three years with Andersen Consulting in San Francisco and Melbourne. |

Carlos Garcia Carlos Garcia is a serial entrepreneur and veteran of the computer industry with over 24 years' experience in the software development, networking, hardware integration and telecommunications businesses. Mr Garcia founded and serves as the Chairman and CEO of Human Network Labs Inc, which provides technology innovations in the integration of digital information within our physical space. He was also founder and CEO of a number of international ventures focused on wireless data communications, advertising, entertainment and security, and has developed products and services for Amtrak, NASA, US Space and Missile Defense Command, Army’s Advance Research Center, High-Performance Super Computer Center, Army Communications Electronics Command, DARPA and ARINC Inc., among others. Klaus Heidinger Klaus Heidinger has amassed broad experience in IT business from many leading industries and public-sector organizations. He also successfully implemented start-ups and large-scale projects in the course of his career. The positions he previously held include Head of Delivery for Professional Services in Rome, Italy, for Siemens Business Services Group; Managing Director for a Siemens subsidiary in Vienna, Austria, with a strong focus in the public sector for the Austrian employment service agency; and Managing Director for an IT training centre in Austria where he succeeded in two projects within the European Union to develop small-medium enterprises together with transnational partners in Austria, Italy, Finland and Germany. Mr Heidinger is currently the Senior Vice President of Siemens IT Solutions and Services Center of Competence for City Management at Siemens Pte Ltd in Singapore, which has a worldwide responsibility of developing innovative solutions and portfolios for Siemens in the public sector market. |

Andrew Khaw Andrew Khaw oversees the Industry Development Division as well as programmes for the Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) and the Digital Media & Entertainment sectors. He was previously Vice President, New Markets, with Ascendas Pte Ltd, leading the company's business development in markets such as the Middle East, North Africa and Russia. Prior to Ascendas, he was with IE Singapore from 2002 to 2007, where he worked closely with companies in the ICT, Electronics & Precision Engineering, Infrastructure, Education and Healthcare sectors. He was instrumental in helping companies in these sectors expand to overseas markets. While at IE Singapore, Mr Khaw also formulated internationalisation plans for Singapore's interactive digital media sector and created the S$30million International Partners (iPartners) programme for consortium formation to serve overseas markets. Prior to IE Singapore, Mr Khaw was with the Economic Development Board where he contributed to promoting investments in the Engineering sector, especially from investors in the US Midwest where he was based for three years. |

James Loo James Loo is responsible for the IT strategies and performance of the YCH Group, and led the spin-off of its IT department into an independent IT company - Y3 Technologies - which is is now heading as its Chief Operating Officer. As CIO of the Group, Mr Loo aligned IT assets to the Group’s business and led in the development of innovative SCM solutions for YCH and its customers. Under his charge, YCH Group won a number of accolades, including IDA’s National Infocomm Awards (2004 & 2008), ZDNetAsia Smart 50, CIO 100 Honouree (2005 & 2009) and the CMP Intelligent20 Award. Mr Loo has had more than 25 years of management and IT experience, having served in senior management positions and worked directly with top MNC clients on strategic projects in ASEAN, China, Taiwan, Korea and Japan, particularly in the area of manufacturing & distribution. Ms Yifat Oron
Yifat Oron has vast knowledge of the international telecom and capital markets. Prior to joining Vertex Venture Capital, Ms Oron was an investment banker with J P Morgan Chase & Co. in New York, where she performed financial analysis and built valuation models for a wide range of products including mergers and acquisitions, equity offerings, fixed income and syndicated finance. Ms Oron also worked as a management consultant for a leading Israeli economic consulting firm, Dan Tahori Management Consulting Ltd. She spent three years at the Israeli Ministry of Defense, and achieved the rank of Lieutenant in her role as the Assistant to the Director of Economics, Budget & Control Department. |

Dr Mark Randolph Mark Randolph has over 20 years of research and development management experience in the areas of interactive digital media and multimedia content delivery solutions. Prior to joining Motorola in 1995, Mr Randolph was a Member of Technical Staff at AT&T Bell Laboratories in Murray Hill, NJ.He has served as Chairman of the VoiceXML Forum, President of AVIOS – the Applied Voice Input / Output Society, and in 2007, Mr Randolph was named Speech Luminary by Speech Technology Magazine. Göran Roos Göran Roos is Honorary Professor at Warwick Business School in the UK, Visiting Professor of Innovation Management and Business Model Innovation at the VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland, Visiting Professor of Intangible Asset Management and Performance Measurement at Cranfield University, and Visiting Faculty in Executive Education at the Helsinki School of Economics in both Helsinki and Singapore. He has also held academic positions in leading universities in Melbourne, Norway, Japan and Sweden. Mr Roos is also the managing director of Intellectual Capital Services Ltd in London, a leading think-tank on methodologies for the identification, management and measurement of intangibles. He is one of the founders of modern intellectual capital science, a recognised expert in this field and a major contributor to the thinking and practice in the areas of strategy, innovation management and industrial and innovation policy. He has worked as a consultant in many OECD countries, served in management positions in several European and US-based corporations, and presently sits on several corporate advisory boards. Mr Roos is the author and co-author of over a hundred books, papers and articles on intellectual capital, innovation management and strategy, and is on the editorial board of several leading academic journals. He was named one of the 13 most influential thinkers for the 21st Century by the Spanish business journal Direccion y Progreso. |

Michael Sha Michael Sha graduated from Harvard University in Computer Science and co-founded Wikinvest in 2006. He is currently the CEO of the company which he led and built by creating a next generation finance portal, raising US$3.5 million in venture capital financing. He had also negotiated and built partnerships with large media companies like Forbes and USA Today. Prior to founding Wikinvest, Mr Sha worked in Amazon while he built and led the Strategic Initiatives innovation team. The team developed new customer experience technologies, and built strategic marketing partnerships for Amazon. He was also advisor to startups on customer experience design/product development, online marketing, user adoption, data mining, and business development. |

Terence Swee Terence Swee put muvee on the map within two years of founding the company, playing an instrumental role in identifying and negotiating multi-million dollar licensing deals with top players in every consumer electronic segment that muvee has participated in. While doing his Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Mr Swee started Pinkspider Productions, where he composed and sold commercial music ranging from radio jingles to pre-natal training soundtracks. He also managed a stable of musicians, booking them gigs at local hotels and clubs. He later joined Kent Ridge Digital Labs where he combined his music knowledge and signal processing background to develop algorithms to aesthetically fuse voice and music using spectral manipulation techniques. He developed Beat Extraction and Tempo Analysis techniques and created means to measure the "Emotional Index" of music. These were later implemented into Muvee’s flagship auto Producer product. Since 2001, Mr Swee has been promoting auto Producer around the world. Mr Swee is an avid jazz pianist. He hangs out in jazz clubs around the world, often waylaying the resident keyboardist for an opportunity to jam with the band. |

Ms Tan Yen Yen Tan Yen Yen leads the HP Enterprise Business in Singapore and is responsible for driving overall venue and profitability for HP in the country. She was previously Director of the Software Global Business Unit for HP Southeast Asia and India, playing a key role in growing HP’s business in this region. Ms Tan was also General Manager for Infrastructure & Systems Sales for HP SEA. Her extensive experience includes regional and country management roles in HP’s Channels and Alliances Business, as well as Sales. Ms Tan is currently serving her second term as Chairman of the Singapore Infocomm Technology Federation (SiTF) Council. |

RADM(NS) Ronnie Tay RADM(NS) Tay was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) on 19 Nov 07. IDA has the roles of developing a vibrant and competitive information technology and communications industry, and for master-planning, project-managing and implementing various infocomm systems and capabilities for the Government as its Government Chief Information Officer (GCIO) and spearheading the transformation of key economic sectors, government and society through the more sophisticated and innovative use of infocomm, which would contribute to enhancing the global economic competitiveness of Singapore. Prior to joining IDA, RADM(NS) Tay served 25 years in the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF), during which he held various command and staff positions in the Singapore Navy. He served as the Chief of Navy from 1 April 2003 to 31 August 2007. As Chief of Navy, RADM(NS) Tay led the transformation of the Republic of Singapore Navy into a naval force characterised by cutting-edge technologies and new fighting doctrines, and capable of a broader spectrum of operation. |

Mrs Rosina Howe-Teo Mrs Rosina Howe-Teo is responsible for the formulation and implementation of LTA’s e-government transformation strategy through value innovation, service quality and technology breakthroughs. Under her stewardship, IT has become a strategic business group. She is responsible for directing and managing LTA’s technology investments; steering a S$50 million Land Transport Innovation Fund and launching the Singapore Urban Transport Solution programme to spearhead research in sustainable land transport development. Over the last 10 years, LTA's flagship e-projects have won several international awards for the innovative use of ICT in the public sector and has become benchmarks for e-Government programmes in other cities. LTA won the Innovation Excellence Award, the highest national accolade for business excellence in innovation in 2008. LTA also won the National InfoComm Award in 2006 and 2008. In Nov 2009, LTA was also conferred the Singapore Quality Award. Prior to joining LTA, Mrs Howe-Teo was CIO of Chartered Industries of Singapore and various companies in the Singapore Technologies Group. She also played an active role in promoting the competency of Singapore IT professionals as President, ITMA (2004, 2005). She is a Board member of the Institute Systems Science and the National Library Board. |

Robert Chew (moderator) Robert Chew retired from Accenture in September 2007. However, he remains active in the IT industry in his role as the Chairman of the National IT Standards Committee and as a member of the National Grid Advisory Council, the Singapore Standards Council and the Technology Committee of the Singapore Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry. Mr Chew is also the Honorary Director for the Lien Centre for Social Innovation. During his time at Accenture, Mr Chew led the Communications and High Tech (CHT) practice in Singapore and the Wireless practice for CHT South Asia. He also worked with clients to formulate business, information and technology strategies, redesign their organisational structures, and implement information systems. His work covered the telecommunications and media industries. He had clients in Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Taiwan and Hong Kong. |
